Before & After: Museum Diorama

Photo Editing Notes

Our local museum has LOTS of diorama exhibits. These little slices of regional ecosystems and habitats speak to my love of miniatures… and Where’s Waldo. I’ve always found it enjoyable to slow down and try to find the critters mentioned in the information panel.

This museum diorama has a fantastic mood and my photo edits aim to pull out the wintry feeling one would get when viewing it in person. I used Lightroom exclusively to see what I could do with masks — things like adding bloom lighting, subject adjustments, and other local tweaks.
