Pop Art Portraits
Commonly called 'WPAP' (Wedha's Pop Art Portrait), this style was made popular by Indonesian artist Wedha Abdul Rasyid. It's easily recognizable by its sharp lines and wild colors, and is heavily inspired by the cubist style of art.
This idea came about after brainstorming some unlikely super heroes — what would it be like if famous figures throughout history gathered together into a trio of awesomeness, perhaps to fight Thomas Edison across the circuits of time. I may or may not have been watching Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure...
"A penny saved is a penny earned — keep the change Edison!" Lincoln shouted as he drop kicked Thomas Edison into the rift created by Da Vinci's time machine. Edison faded away with a crackle of energy, now lost in the era of Genghis Khan. "Mr. Lincoln," Mark Twain mused, "action speaks louder than words, but not nearly as dramatic as a kick to the face. Well done sir. Tesla will rest well knowing free energy is safe... for now."
I almost never watch series shows (not even Game of Thrones or Westworld), but this one touched on all those special childhood memories — I was hooked immediately. Even the title sequence is so wonderfully vintage.
