A lovingly illustrated poker deck of 54 cryptids from North America, representing all 50 United States and parts beyond. Each cryptid illustration is named and placed by state, rendered in bold color, and playfully arranged among the pips. All decks come in a small handmade pouch made from various leathers and exotic (some faux) materials, wrapped with a leather strap, inspired by the cryptids contained within.
The new card design for 2022 is custom yet familiar – suits, numbers, and lettering are in expected locations, with tightly refined margins for compact spreads and readability. Printed by the excellent folks at MPC on casino/magician-quality M31 linen stock, cards are coated with an incredibly luxurious BETA finish for amazing handling and durability.
You’ll be delighted by the heavily researched, highly accurate, and difficult to disprove illustrations of all the classic cryptids: Bigfoot, Chupacabra, Enfield Horror, Flatwoods Monster, Hodag, Jersey Devil, Mothman, Screaming Kangaroos, Tahoe Tessie, Wendigo, and many, many more!

What began as a simple drawing challenge to illustrate one cryptid each day in October, soon became a slightly larger challenge to complete an illustrated deck of 54 playing cards. The vast majority of these illustrations and design elements were streamed live on Twitch over the course of a couple months, Everything was drawn in Adobe Illustrator with final adjustments made in photoshop to reflect/mirror each design.
This cryptid deck uses the highest quality M31 linen card stock coated with an ultra-smooth BETA finish from MakePlayingCards.com. Because playability is the most important element of any deck, only the best was used.
The card pouch is something new, a limited-run experiment if you will. Through an abundance of free time and materials at my disposal, I’ve crafted various pouches inspired by the cryptids contained within: fur, leather, scales, and other faux exotic materials. New pouches will be added after the holidays. The pouch also doubles as a fantastic dice bag (it holds two complete sets).
This has truly been a fun project to share with the viewers! I hope these cryptid cards give you as much enjoyment and delight as I had creating them.

We can ship outside of the US, but contact us ahead of time with your address so we can find the best shipping rate and let you know before ordering. We always double check with the post office out of an abundance of caution when mailing outside the US. Various customs fees and VAT taxes make shipping… difficult. Keep in mind some countries don’t allow playing cards through customs 🃏🤷♀️ either. It’s a whole bunch of stuff.
